STICHTING WIELEWAAL – NEW PERSPECTIVE
The Wielewaal Foundation (Stichting Wielewaal) organizes respite care at 12 locations in the Netherlands. Children and young people with disabilities come to stay the weekends and Wielewaal provides holiday care during the school holidays. The children can relax in a safe and familiar environment and can really participate and make friends. For parents there is a temporarily relief from the heavy care. With the New Perspective project, Wielewaal has invested in a range of new activities. After two corona years, it was necessary to give back the fun to the children, fun they had to miss out on in times of lockdown. Thanks in part to Fonds 1999, Wielewaal has been able to build a sustainable enrichment of the program that is in line with the development phase of the participants.
