Since 1949 LPC has promoted understanding through international summer camps where young people of diverse backgrounds build community and establish lasting friendships. With the help of Fonds 1999 the organization was able to modernize the central office through purchasing an online camp application software, developing a new database and digitizing decades-old data. In addition, a range of infrastructure repairs were conducted at the three camp locations, including restoring old windows, replacing a set of outside steps that were dangerous, and repairing a roof in Maine and a dock on a Norwegian fjord. LPC is very grateful for the opportunity to do all of this important work.
