Younity Utrecht is an urban sports and culture hall that offers young people aged 15–35 a place where they feel at home, can meet new people and develop themselves. Younity has been developed for, by and with young people. It operates as a social enterprise: young people work at Younity, and the venue is also rented out as a meeting and events location.

Stichting On The Move Sportvrienden focuses strongly on youth ownership. Young people learn to run Younity independently through training programmes, coaching and work-experience placements. From Monday to Friday, the hall is freely accessible to the target group between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm, with the evenings fully run by young people themselves. During these evenings, participants are welcomed by the MC (community manager), who introduces them to the possibilities at Younity, helps them connect with other young people and offers advice where needed across a wide range of topics. Young people can organise their own activities or make use of Younity’s facilities in the fields of sport, culture and music. Thanks to the support of Fonds 1999, Stichting On The Move Sportvrienden was able to develop this sports and culture hall and make the launch and operation of Younity Utrecht possible.
