RIJKSAKADEMIE VAN BEELDENDE KUNSTEN – FRANSISCA ANGELA FELLOWSHIP
For more than 150 years, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten has stood for artistic innovation and progressive art. The Rijksakademie hosts an international, multidisciplinary community of artists who are experimental and critically engaged. During the two-year residency, fifty artists embark on an open-ended process in which they challenge themselves, deepen their practice, and explore new paths both within and beyond the field of art. They are provided with their own studio and have access to guidance from leading art professionals and technical specialists. Thanks to the generous fellowship of Fonds 1999, Fransisca Angela was able to focus fully on the further development of her work and the expansion of her professional network. The fellowship covers the resident’s monthly stipend and working budget, thereby making a significant contribution to the professional development of a promising artist.
