STICHTING KUNST IN DE HEILIGE DRIEHOEK – H3H BIENNAL
Every two years, Stichting Kunst in de Heilige Driehoek organizes a biennial of international stature. This special art route takes place in the Sacred Triangle in Oosterhout (in the province of North Brabant): a unique area and the only place in the Netherlands where three active monastic communities coexist. The landscape, history, and spirituality of this region are a significant source of inspiration for the h3h biennial.
The fourth edition, “A Deeper Shade of Soul,” brought together art lovers and those interested in cultural and religious heritage. Visitors could wander through park-like gardens, expansive fields, and old avenues, where numerous works of art were on display. Most of these works were developed specifically for this edition and created a direct dialogue with the location and its significance.
In collaboration with h19, the centre for the arts, a special educational project was also established. A total of 2,500 students participated. They each created their own artwork on a 10 x 10 cm tile, which was presented together as the Art Path Collective at the biennial. The h3h biennial ran from June 21 to August 3, 2025, and was made possible in part by a contribution from Fonds 1999.
