STICHTING NEDERLANDING – WORK WEEKENDS
©2025 Stichting Nederlanding
Stichting Nederlanding organises working weekends for groups of refugee women and Dutch groups of women friends, bringing them together in a low-threshold and equal way to help one another further in life and work. This works both ways: Dutch women have a great deal of knowledge, networks and skills to offer refugee women finding their way in the Netherlands. New Dutch women, in turn, have a great deal of wisdom, skills and a fresh perspective to offer Dutch women who wish to broaden their view of the world and their own situation. Since it was founded, 19 groups have already been started, with 264 Dutch and new Dutch female participants. Thanks to the contribution from Fonds 1999, Stichting Nederlanding was able to organise 6 new groups and working weekends in 2025 for refugee women of 14 different nationalities. In addition, Nederlanding organised a networking event with a substantive programme on the Dutch government’s migration policy, finding one’s way into work, and a world café with a singing workshop. Nederlanding also offered women practical buddy support, for example with language, and with the search for (voluntary) work, education and the recognition of foreign qualifications. For 2026, another 5 groups are planned, in which a step forward will be taken together.
