STICHTING NEDERLANDS PHILHARMONISCH ORKEST – ASSISTENT CONDUCTOR KYUNGMIN PARK 2025-2026
The Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest is actively committed to developing a new generation of musicians and conductors. For young conductors, the step from training into professional practice is a significant one: gaining experience with an orchestra at the highest level is essential, yet opportunities to do so are scarce. That is why the Nederlands Philharmonisch offers an assistant conductor position, allowing young conductors to gain experience with both symphonic and operatic repertoire. In this way, the assistant conductorship gives emerging conducting talent the space to further develop their artistic and professional skills and to gain valuable hands-on experience. The programme thus serves as an important springboard towards an independent career and contributes to the future of classical music.
Thanks in part to the support of Fonds 1999, Kyungmin Park had the opportunity during the 2025-2026 season to gain intensive experience in professional practice as assistant conductor. Kyungmin Park attended rehearsals and concerts, worked closely with experienced and internationally renowned conductors, and was also entrusted with projects of his own.
