Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is an open community where dance art is accessible to everyone. This also applies to the NDT Summer Intensive, where (pre)professional dancers from 14 to 30 years old from all corners of the world work on their artistic and personal development for a fortnight. Taking part in the NDT Summer Intensive enriches their development as dance artists and their network in the dance world, from which they will benefit throughout their careers. 

For NDT, everyone is equal and therefore NDT wants participation in the NDT Summer Intensive to be accessible to everyone. Where the selection process is fair and what matters most is talent and not age and background. A lack of financial resources should never be a reason not to audition. Partly thanks to the contribution of Fonds 1999, we were able to offer (partial) scholarships this year, enabling dancers (from Africa, South America and Southeast Asia, among others) to participate who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to do so.
