STICHTING MOVE (MOVE FOUNDATION)

© 2022 Stichting Move

The Move Foundation is committed to equal opportunities among children and young people aged 10 to 16 who grow up in vulnerable neighborhoods. In these projects they are linked to students to take action together for the neighborhood.

Thanks to the contribution of Fonds 1999, the Move Foundation was able to carry out two Move- your-neighborhood projects in 2021. In these projects, children from a primary school acted with students from their city. The children discovered their talents and gained insight into how they can use these talents for their environment. In both projects the theme was ‘art and culture’. One of the projects was done with the Ariënschool in Utrecht. Children, students and an artist worked together to make the schoolyard more colorful by means of a mosaic artwork on a concrete bench. In Amsterdam, students from De Ster primary school, together with students from the Amsterdamsch Studenten Corps (Amsterdam Student Society), worked on a mural and homemade paintings to brighten up a shopping center in the area. All in all, the goals of bringing worlds together, discovering and deploying talents and developing creativity in these projects have been achieved.
