LUNCH CONCERTS FLORIADE EXPO 2022
World horticultural exhibition Floriade took place from 14 April to 9 October 2022 in Almere and attracted 693,722 paying visitors. The expo takes place once every 10 years and provides a special opportunity for amateur music groups to present themselves to a large international audience. During the 180 days, each day, partly thanks to a donation from Fonds 1999, a different amateur music company was able to give a lunch concert on the Urban stage, located in the middle of Floriade’s country pavilions. A total of 183 lunch concerts were held, welcoming as many as 5641 musicians. The programmed companies played their own repertoire and reflected the diverse Dutch culture.
