Forward-Inc supports newcomers with a refugee background in realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions. With the entrepreneurship programs, Stichting Refugees Forward offers them the tools and guidance to start, expand, finance and successfully maintain their own business. Stichting Refugees Forward believes in the extraordinary talent of people with a refugee background, their valuable contribution to society and their ability to connect communities.
With the support of Fonds 1999, the Forward-Inc project focused on supporting newcomers with a refugee background during their entrepreneurial journey through the Forward Accelerator (FA) program. This four-month program was designed to prepare 15 entrepreneurs from refugee backgrounds to become investors. This was achieved through skills training, access to capital and building a network of investors in the Netherlands.
