MORE BIRDS IN THE CLASSROOM

Vogelbescherming Nederland (Bird protection The Netherlands) stands up for wild birds and their habitats, in the Netherlands and worldwide. They wish to involve as many children as possible in this, since children are the conservationists of the future.

Thanks to a donation from Fonds 1999, teaching materials about birds and nature were made available, free of charge, on the digital platform LessonUp, which is used by more than 80,000 teachers. The lessons are aimed at pupils in primary and lower secondary schools and are offered as ‘ready-made’ lessons that can be used immediately in the classroom, even if the teacher lacks the necessary knowledge. This makes it very easy for teachers to give nature lessons. This way thousands of children in the Netherlands can learn to enjoy birds and nature!
