RICCIOTTI ENSEMBLE – GOLDEN JUBILEE
The Ricciotti ensemble celebrated its 51th anniversary in the summer of 2021. What started in 1970 as an ensemble without a conductor grew into a full orchestra with the mission to play everywhere and for everyone. Thanks in part to a donation from Fonds 1999, the golden jubilee was celebrated with a dazzling summer tour with internationally acclaimed violinist and composer and former concertmaster Tim Kliphuis. The Ricciotti ensemble toured the country with free performances to bring their music live again after a long time! The repertoire included music in all genres, illustrious Ricciotti compositions from the past by Willem Breuker, Jurriaan Andriessen and Chiel Meijering and new work by Tim Kliphuis, Leonard Evers and Micha Hamel.
