Partly thanks to the support of Fonds 1999, the Syrène Saxophone Quartet looks back with pride on the very successful three-part concert series STEK, in which the quartet was able to collaborate with top soloists such as Sterre Konijn and Merel Vercammen. The highlight of STEK was the residency in collaboration with Aafke Romeijn. The Syrène Saxophone Quartet has been able to demonstrate the versatility of the quartet and demonstrate the great differences in colors and qualities it has to offer. The various concerts have been taken care of down to the last detail and artistically developed to the highest level. The quartet has managed to achieve its artistic goals and inspire new programmers and festivals, as a result of which they notice that developed programs are starting to gain momentum.
