OOST WEST THUIS NIET BEST, meeting through music

Every two years, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble presents the programme ‘Oost West Thuis Niet Best’, in which the musicians of the NBE share the stage with guest musicians from all corners of the globe, (former) asylum seekers and refugees. For some of these musicians, the NBE stage functions as a relief from a precarious existence; for others, it serves as a safe haven from which something new can be built. For everyone, this stage is a musical refuge where past and future dreams can merge to form scintillating music. In this project, the NBE works together with Stichting de Vrolijkheid, Stichting Move Forward and Stichting De Toverfluit.
